| Cost is 45 euro per person per class. Classes include a meal of our efforts and local house wine. For an additional 20 euro per person, 3 courses may be complimented by 3 different wines, of which Freisa, Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, and Barolo are some of the possibilities. Festa Della Pasta (afternoon or evening) Hand made pasta isn't a difficult endeavor. It does not require a lot of hard to find ingredients or expensive equipment. We will have you making, rolling and shaping a variety of filled and shaped pastas like a pro. You will learn how to prepare several sauces and how to match them with your pasta. Chestnut or potato gnocchi may also be added to this class if requested or as part of local Piemontese Dinner. Piemontese Dinner- Yesterday and Today Our regional Piedmont cuisine features, rich stews of wild boar, rabbit, and beef accompanied with creamy polenta, or risottos and agnolotti. Italians love their veggies so we will have plenty to compliment our meal and dessert to top off the meal. Mercato, Mare, Monti (available Wednesday and Saturday only) Off to the Pinerolo market in the morning where together we will select local ingredients for our evening meal. You will have free time for exploring the market and doing a bit of sight seeing for the day on your own. Transportation to the market is not included. Around 5 pm that afternoon, we will prepare our evening meal and enjoy it together. La Dolce Vita We will make Italian sweets for all hours of the day and night. You'll learn to make the versatile pasta frolla from which you may make crostata crust that doubles for a marmalade breakfast pastry or decadent Giandujia chocolate dessert. Other possibilities are polenta biscotti, ricotta swirl cheesecake and mascarpone creamed pears to name a few. Class will vary depending what time of the year and what's in season. |
